Located between an active railyard and a regional transportation facility this apartment takes advantage of a small narrow lot. Each of the 194 micro-apartments has access to uninterrupted city or mountain views through large garage doors. Each unit features a kitchen/bathroom core that separates the living and sleeping areas while still letting light pass through and providing additional storage.
In response to PTAC’s being selected to heat and cool, a checkerboard-esque facade which hides the PTAC’s exterior vent. Situated within a 12” stud wall the unit has a small impact on the interior of the unit while being hidden behind a perforated metal screen on the exterior. On top of the metal panels residents can grow small plants/herbs in a personal planter accessed through their garage door.
